Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 12, 2026

DryverMedia LLC (“DryverMedia,” “we,” “us”) operates SolarUnbound at solarunbound.com (the “Site”), a free service that connects homeowners who have questions about a solar lease, loan or power purchase agreement with independent third parties who review solar contracts. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your choices.

Notice at collection

When you use our questionnaire we collect identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address, ad click IDs), commercial information (your answers about your solar system, contract type, solar company or lender, payment range and how the sale took place), internet activity (pages viewed and form interactions, including consent recordings) and general location (ZIP code and state). We use it to connect you with partners who review solar contracts, contact you, document your consent, prevent fraud and measure our site and ads. We sell this information to the partners matched to your request and share device and hashed contact data with advertising platforms. We keep requests and consent records for up to five years. We do not collect sensitive personal information. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Questionnaire: your answers about your solar system (for example, whether you lease or financed it, the solar company or lender, your approximate monthly payment, when it was installed, how the sale started, and whether you feel you were misled), and your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code and state.
  • Messages and privacy requests: your name, email, state and anything you write to us.

We never ask for your Social Security number, date of birth, or bank or card details, and our questionnaire does not involve a credit check. Please don't send us copies of your contract or other documents unless a partner you've chosen asks for them.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and visit data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the ad or site that referred you, and the date and time of your visit.
  • Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site (for example, pages viewed and questionnaire steps completed). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology. Learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, or opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Advertising data: ad click identifiers (such as Meta, TikTok, Google and Microsoft click IDs), campaign tags and affiliate tracking IDs.
  • Consent records: we may use services such as ActiveProspect TrustedForm and Jornaya to record your visit to the questionnaire, including the consent language shown and your clicks and keystrokes on that page, to document your consent to be contacted.

2. How we use it

  • To match your request with partners who review solar contracts in your state, and to send your request to them.
  • To contact you, and let matched partners contact you, about your solar contract by phone, text and email as you agreed on the form.
  • To verify requests, detect duplicate or automated submissions, prevent fraud and keep records of consent.
  • To measure and improve our ads and the Site, and to comply with law.

3. Who we share it with

  • Marketing partners. When you submit a request, we share your contact details and answers with up to four partners, which may include law firms, attorneys, solar contract review and consumer advocacy companies, and lead marketplaces that route requests to them, listed on our Marketing Partners page. They pay us for these requests, which is a “sale” under some state laws. They use your information under their own privacy policies. Sharing your request with a law firm does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship.
  • Service providers that host the Site, provide analytics, verify phone numbers and emails (including checking line type and do-not-call or litigation-risk lists), protect forms from bots (such as Cloudflare Turnstile), record consent and deliver email, under contracts that limit their use.
  • Advertising platforms. Meta, TikTok and Google receive data from pixels and tags on the Site, and, when you submit a request, a hashed (scrambled) version of your email address and phone number plus a request ID, so we can measure which ads lead to requests. We may also send that information to them directly from our server (for example, Meta's Conversions API and TikTok's Events API). This can be “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under some state laws.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in a merger, sale or transfer of our business.

4. Calls, texts and emails

If you submit a request and agree to the consent language on the form, we and the partners matched to your request may call and text the number you gave, including with automated technology and prerecorded messages, and email you about your solar contract. Consent is not required to buy anything. To stop texts, reply STOP. To stop calls, tell the caller or email legal@solarunbound.com. Each partner that contacts you also honors opt-out requests made directly to it.

5. Cookies, analytics and pixels

We use cookies, pixels and browser storage to run the questionnaire, to keep the ad parameters from the link you followed, to understand Site usage through Google Analytics, and to measure ads. We do not load Meta or TikTok advertising pixels for browsers that send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, and for those browsers we tell Google not to use Site data for ad personalization. You can block cookies in your browser, though parts of the Site may not work.

6. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

You can opt out of the sale or sharing of your information at any time with our opt-out form, by emailing legal@solarunbound.com with “Do Not Sell or Share” in the subject, or by turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser. An opt-out works going forward; information already sent to a partner is held under that partner's policy, and you can contact it directly.

7. Your state privacy rights

Depending on your state (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Virginia and others), you may have the right to know, access, correct and delete your personal information, to opt out of its sale, sharing and use for targeted advertising, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. Make a request through our privacy request form or by email. We verify requests by matching the details you give us and respond within the time the law requires. An authorized agent may submit a request with your signed permission. If we deny your request, reply with the word “Appeal.”
